| In
order to become a licensed New Mexico Specialty Contractor, you must have
a minimum of two years of experience under a licensed New Mexico contractor.
If you are from out of state and are a contractor in that state, you can
have a licensed contractor from that state verify your experience. You
are not allowed to verify your own work experience. Your two years of
verifiable experience must be within the past ten years. Your experience
has to be hands on experience covering all aspects of the trade.
If you do not
meet these requirements you can contact the Construction Industries Division
(CID) to find out if there are any other alternatives for you.
