Step 2 in getting your New Mexico Contractor's or
Journeyman's License is Taking and Passing the Exams
Once you have been approved to test by the state-licensing division, you will be contacted by the state-testing agency to schedule for your exams. The New Mexico contractor and journeyman exams are currently being administered by PSI . The exams are given almost every weekday in Albuquerque. Be sure to arrange your test dates to follow immediately after a class.
Taking the Exams
In New Mexico every contractor is required to satisfy two parts of the licensing, they must take the trade related exam and must also either pass a business and law exam or take a two day course in business.
